The Math Club was established to foster a community of students who share a common interest in mathematics. We are dedicated to making mathematics accessible and fun to all GW students, and to enhancing the experience of undergraduate math study.
"Without mathematics, there's nothing you can do. Everything around you is mathematics. Everything around you is numbers. |
What is Math Club?
Math Club is where students with any level of interest in mathematics have the opportunity to share their interest with like-minded peers. For this reason, Math Club membership is open to students of all majors. There are no prerequisites to join the club. What does Math Club do? Guest Speakers- Each semester, we organize guest talks. Feel free to make suggestions if you'd like to hear from a particular organization or individual! Career and Networking Events- In the past we have hosted events such as: Careers in Math at the NSA, and Careers in Applied Mathematics. Study Hours- Our study hours are from 7-9 PM on Mondays in Corcoran 104. This is a great place to study with fellow math students. Game and Movie Nights- Math related games/puzzles and movies to destress from classes! How do I get Involved? Subscribe to our mailing list to get all the information on upcoming events.
